Agenda 21 is an indicative text approved by the Earth Summit (UN Conference on Environment and Development) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is the culmination point of a large movement across the World gathering for the first time international institutions as well as state and non-state actors.

Watergate is the symbol of a time marked by the transformation of what was first perceived as a mere “conspiracy theory” into the actual conspiracy. The judicial system identified and condemned it and its tremendous impact is still felt in both the US political scene and across the world.

We are now celebrating the sixty ninth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Approved in Paris by the General Assembly of the then recently established United Nations, on December the tenth, it is a marvellous text which lost none of its significance and charm today.
