ARCHumankind director stands with the Iranian community in Sweden

On 8 February 2020, ARCHumankind Director Paulo Casaca addressed a rally in Stockholm on the anniversary of the 1979 anti-monarchic revolution and in support of Iran protests. This rally was part of a set of demonstrations in the UK, Canada and the US by supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI, or MEK), and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). In addition to Paulo Casaca, among the speakers in Sweden were several Swedish parliamentarians and Mr Parviz Khazaei, representative of the NCRI in Nordic countries.

Iran rebels against tyranny

On 20 November 2019, the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran published a report on Iran’s uprising. The report indicates that there have been at least 251 killed, 3,700 injured, and 7,000 arrested; and the names of the 85 martyrs of the uprising in various cities are listed. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), called on the UN Security Council stating ‘The UNSC must demand an immediate halt in killings and the release of detainees. It must declare the leaders of the regime as criminals against humanity. They must face justice’.

Open letter to BBC concerning the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK)

On 13 July 2019, group of former parliamentarians, cabinet members and military officers from different nations, but united in support of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) efforts to end the religious dictatorship in Iran, visited Ashraf 3 in Albania. As a result of a BBC report written by Linda Pressly posted on 11 November 2019, which misrepresents the facts and completely contradicts the experiences of high-level officials that visited Ashraf 3, an open letter was sent to BBC.

ARCHumankind appeals Australia on behalf of whistle-blower Bernard Collaery

ARCHumankind in solidarity with the plight of Iranians for freedom and democracy

On 15 June in Brussels, on 28 and 29 of June and on 12 and 13 July in Ashraf, Albania and on 27 July in London, he spoke on behalf of a different policy regarding Iran based on the respect of human dignity and the international order, confronting the internal and the external threats of the theocracy.
